UEI College Unveils Plan To Expands Its Electrician Technician Program

It is safe to say that almost all aspect of American society needs reliable electrical service. A recent study by Klein Tools and the Accelerate Group showed a growing need to train, educate and employ more than 300,000 skilled electrical workers to meet the ever-increasing electrical/energy demand in the next ten years. The study revealed that this growing demand is dependent on the need to create millions of electric vehicle charging stations, create building systems that are clean energy-friendly, accelerate renewable energy development, and lots more.

All of these are already on the growing need for skilled electrical technicians in the wake of more home and business construction. There are strong indications that the number of electricians would rise in the coming years. in fact, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics expects an 8% growth for electricians by 2030. This will be a much faster average than any other occupation.

UEI College has unveiled plans that will enable it to meet the growing demands in the electrical community. It is expanding its Electrician Technician program at three additional campuses in California. The application window is now open. Students can send their applications to the Huntington Park, Sacramento, and Riverside campuses. Classes are expected to start in January. The program has been ongoing since 2019, in UEI College campuses in West Covina and Chula.

“UEI College electrician technician program is a solution to a growing problem,” said Robyn Burrell, Director of Curriculum and Academic Services. “The program is student-oriented. It focuses on committed students. It employs an industry-recognized, hands-on curriculum that emphasizes the skills that are essential in the industry. In just ten months, students will develop the skills and tools required to work in the industry,” Burrell added.

The program is preparing students for entry-level jobs in the residential, commercial, or industrial fields.

“The end of the electrician technician program, students will have the knowledge and skills to handle challenges in various fields,” Burrell added.

The 40-week program is structured to offer students the comprehensive training they’ll require to charter a career in the field. The program is personalized and design to the skills that employers look for the most.

UEI College’s electrical technician program training shows students important techniques, problem-solving skills, knowledge, and tools required for the field. The learning experience is very practical. Students will obtain lab experience and gain first-hand knowledge through simulations. Students enrolled in the program will obtain an Electrician Training Card, which will give them access to work in the electrical field under the supervision.
